The Stencil Stack

Never underestimate the creative forces found in a pile of stuff. I use 40x50 inch hand cut stencils of bare trees in my paintings, and they're kept thumbtacked to a wall; several dozen piled on top of each other. I'm always so preoccupied rooting through them to find an appropriate pattern that I've never stopped until now to look at how they interact with one another in a cluster. Once again, I've found what I like: pattern on pattern, abundance of texture, organic, and in a state of organized chaos.
